My 29th.

I've grown to be really sporadic about my internet presence. But in any case, I decided to pop-by again.

I recently took a trip out of Singapore. It has been a full year since I last travelled and yes, I do not travel as often as I wish I did for... reasons.

I have to admit I was point-blank tired during my trip because I did not get much good sleep two weeks before it and also at many points during the trip itself. But I still enjoyed my time out all in all. That quick sojourn was so rejuvenating, it made everything worth it.

Just yesterday, I collected my developed photos and fell so badly in love again - with capturing moments and colours. I was toying with the idea but have now firmly decided I will start planning trips around set location of films, mtvs, whatever. Within Singapore, I will also start doing personal photowalks to capture moments of the city that I love. It makes me happy just to walk around a place for an hour, with my $5 film camera, and literally point-and-shoot everything I want to remember. (Please never let me lose my sense of sight.)

At the end of my year being 29, I want to look back in my 20s and remember it all as being this beautiful.

And this post will mark the start of me putting together the pieces.

Just Walking About in BKK 1: Raw and unpolished gem

We made it look easy. But the heat, oh the heat! The food here actually made me smile despite all.

Away My Heart Went in Hong Kong 4: Turning back time

Found my favourite meal in Hong Kong.

It is always lovely to have the old still relevant in the new.

In other news, I have officially embarked on #CTPinHK travelogue for Coffee Table People. New year, new goals, I guess.

Somewhere only we know.

Wow, where did June go?

(Oh right, it was one of the worst working month I have ever experienced.)

So, anyway, I was sorting through old travel photos and I realized there was a period of time when I really liked taking shots of buildings (architectural lines are sexy), displays (feed hoarding desires) or etc. scenes I walked into. Basically nothing with faces inside. And I was never one to take shots of typical tourist shots.

(With food though, I am a completely different photographer. But that's a story for another day.)

(The night sky was a strange but beautiful sort of purple.)

In many ways, similar to my personal life choices, I like a certain type of anonymity associated with my work - only people, who are in the know, know the who what where; like a private joke or secret shared amongst the innermoist circle. Everytime I meet someone who gets it (whatever "it" might be"), I know that person is a keeper as a friend for life and we will forever more be spending time indulging in our exclusive obsession(s).

Yes, I weave romantic stories like that in my head all the time. This is why I do not need a physical love story.

My next personal photography assignment will be to have a story behind every shot. That, and also to learn how to capture movement which I am still struggling with.

Disney Dreaming: Childhood Dreams

No one can really leave Hong Kong without photos of the Happiest Place on Earth right? Christmas + Disneyland was really something kind of beautiful.

Unceremoniously shoved around by some rude people (Why in Disneyland why???), but nothing can really spoil my day seeing my favourites cartoons come to live. Mich was the perfect companion with her practical planning on how to tour the place while my free pair of eyes from lack-of-cameras-to-be-busied-with could scan the place for the characters roaming the place - We successfully got photos with Mickey, Minnie and Stitch without much of a queue (hustlin' hustlin')!

Damn Legit.

Side note: By this point of time in the trip, my lens were completely non-functional so all I did was point and shoot hence the less than satisfactory photos. All's well, cause nothing beats spending time looking at the sights and sounds for real.
